- A job for this holiday. I want to do those awesome things too, but I’ve always been useless with a crochet hook.

I super badly need to do a NaNoWriMo some year. I’m just usually swamped with already-begun projects and I don’t want to do one until I have a bit of a break and think, “I should write something new. Let’s do this!”
I like your list. Very nice.
I have never seen a snowfall, either, and I would very much like to.
Ha! I’m always swamped with exams in November. Which is why I just decided to do it and get it over with, otherwise I will be saying that forever. Like I said in my boring vlog!
And I’m starting today!
Thank you!
I’m seem to be obsessed with travelling. Especially to places with literary significance.
Yep, it doesn’t snow here, so I have never seen the actual flakes falling. I have seen snow on the ground though, when we were in Europe, and my dad made me get out of the car and pick some up so that he could take a picture of me screwing up my face because the cold stung my fingers!
It is weird where the inquisitive mind will take you, I’m reading about a strike at Brandon University (Canda) which refers to a wikihow document called ‘how to change the law through democratic processes’ strangely enough you are the wiki ‘community member’ listed next to that description and here I am at your bucket list
I wish you well with your list, I am originally from Great Britain and now live in Canada where there is cuurently a foot of snow on the ground and it’s -27! It loses it’s novelty factor after a while
That’s a story and a half that you have there! How cool is it to go from news to wikiHow, to my user page, to my blog!
Was that a news article that refers to wikiHow? Do you happen to have a link to it? We always try to collect links to where our articles are used in world news. It’s a sign of progress!
I think I’m quite happy to live where it never snows. I like my winters mild. But I just feel that a snowfall is something that I have to experience once in my life. Then I can say I’ve seen it!
Not a news story but an extensive and vitriolic discussion ( on a community website ) about an ongoing strike at Brandon University
http://ebrandon.ca/messagethread.aspx?startnum=1051&message_id=526801&cat_id=3
If you search the discussion forum for ‘wikihow’ you will find it is quoted quite frequently as a source of information
I did Nano this year too! Such an accomplishment, congrats!
Wonderful! I hope you won too…? Thanks!
A great list! I haven’t compiled mine yet (but just saw The Bucket List with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholsen, so I’ve been thinking about it), but guess that mine would include lots of traveling as well. And creative homestead-y type things, like canning and crafting and making a braided rug. In fact, I might just go ahead and write one right now!
Awesome! Let’s spread the bucket list-iness! Thanks!
Awesome list. DO you keep adding to it or is this the definitive list? I should really take the time to write my own.
I like to add something new as I finish each task. So that there are always about 40 uncompleted ones. But, of course, if I can’t think of anything new to add that is not a problem either!
Do it! It’s fun!
I want to visit Great Britian too!!
Let’s arrange to wave if we see each other there!
zip lining is so fun! i went in costa rica it’s actually rather addictive it’s the weightless feeling of flying that makes me want to go back. indoor rock climbing is fun too good exercise
I’m glad to hear that! Makes me want to do it more!
I have folded a 1000 origami cranes!!! do it! but make them all different sizes like I did!!
I will still, but you can’t really make a proper senbazuru if they are all different sizes. It looks odd.
Hi! This is my first time on your blog – CONGRATS FOR WINNING NaNoWriMo!!! Srsly, that’s really cool!!!
#39 Oh, that’s easy. Go to an Middle Eastern or Indian Grocery store, ask them for a stick of Henna, practice on a piece of paper, then do it on your hand!
Oh, yes. Well, it’s not a competition as such. Everyone who completes it is considered a winner. But thanks anyway!
Where am I supposed to find a grocery store like that?
I’ve lived all over the country and don’t usually have a problem finding a Middle Eastern store. What city do you live near?
Not in the USA.
Sorry, it’s not something I speak about a lot.
Anyway, it’s not important!
Where do you live that you;ve never seen snow?
It does not snow regularly in quite a large part of the world, you know. Anyway, I have seen snow, I just have never actually been there whilst it was falling.
You’ve never seen a snowfall? Do you live in the tropics or a desert or something? Anyway, good list. My three biggest desires are to learn to play the piano, speak fluent Spanish, and go on a single-handed sailing trip (however far I can go without it being too risky). I also want to visit the pyramids, Great Wall of China, Machu Pichu, Mayan Ruins, Colosseum, Acropolis, and Taj Mahal. I am a history buff so it would be nice to see all of these. In regard to geographic phenomenon, I’d like to see the Grand Canyon, Utah desert (you know, with those big, separated mountain things? I forgot what they’re called), Great Barrier Reef, African Savannah, and Sahara desert. I’d really like to sleep under the stars in the Sahara desert because I’m from NY and I never see stars. I bet one can see a lot of stars there. I also want to spend a night on an isolated island out in the Pacific Ocean just by myself. Maybe I can sail there on my single-handed sailing journey… haha. Sky-diving seems fun too.
There are so many things to do and not enough time or money to do them. Oh well, hope you accomplish all of you goals. Bye.
You do know that it does not snow with any regularity in quite a large part of the world, not just the tropics or the desert, don’t you? I think it has not snowed around here for the last 20 years. Anyway, I have seen snow. I just have never been there when it was actually falling.
I can play piano – well, I could. I could probably do it again with a little practise. I’d like to try learning Spanish one day, too. But going on the sea is not my thing, I get sick. I’d like to visit those places you name as well, seeing that I’m a history buff too.
Just remember to bring your emergency blanket if you want to sleep in the desert – it freezes there at night. And I like looking at stars as well without the city lights interfering – it can be scary how huge they really are.
That’s very true, hehe!
New to blogging and am enjoying wandering into lovely blogs like yours! And all the best with that great bucket list!
Well, welcome! And thanks!
37. Sounds like lofty yet very achievable goal! Good luck with that! I am going to commit to some sort of writing goal myself starting today!
As of today, I’m on 458 days, so I’m almost there! Good luck on your own writing goal! Some days you may hate yourself for it, but in the end it’s worth it!
You’re a very coy girl.
Oh?
When you come to London, make a visit to the Globe Theatre
Ooh, that sounds like a great idea! I’ve love to do an English literary tour!
Seeing the northern lights is totally on my bucket list, too. I hope I will be able to go whale watching in the Pacific Northwest, then travel up to Alaska to see them!
Oh, yay!
I was actually thinking of northern lights from Europe’s side, because I’ve never even thought of Alaska in terms of the aurora before!
